Description - A tapered gaging stylus provides a clear view of the gaging contact. A spherical diamond is standard, however, many special contacts are available, such as flat contacts (for checking over rolls and wires), extended tips (for checking into deep reliefs) and many others to fullfill almost any requirement.

An optional pressure regulator and a gage point lift button accessory can be provided in the gage head to increase the versatility of the instrument. Gaging pressures can be selected for 4, 8, 16 or 40 ounces by simply turning the knob. The gage point button allows the operator to lift the stylus above the gaging range to decrease wear on the stylus and to prevent marring parts as they are inserted or removed.

Various plain or serrated reversible anvils are available. Other accessories include backstops, adjustable and fixed v-blocks for three point inspection of diameters, sine bars for checking tapers, ball classifying attachment for quickly classifying balls by small increments, pipe sine bars for checking taper pipe threads, and other accessories that quickly convert the instrument into a specialized gage for short-run or emergency use, and yet does not impair its function as a general, all-round precision instrument for inspection room applications.
